MGM Resorts Announces Expanded Hours for Several Properties

As the properties expand their operating hours, they will continue deploying MGM Resorts’ Seven-Point Safety Plan, a multi-layered set of protocols and procedures designed in conjunction with medical and scientific experts to mitigate the spread of coronavirus.

Key initiatives in the plan include employee screening, temperature checks, COVID-19 testing for employees, mandatory facial coverings, social distancing, plexiglass barriers, handwashing stations, contactless check-in, the use of electrostatic sprayers and more.

Windstar Ups Tech Game To Stop COVID-19 Spread

Windstar Cruises has announced a new health and safety program, Beyond Ordinary Care, which aims to create a safer environment onboard its ships.

“The Beyond Ordinary Care program is a multi-faceted strategy with key hospital-grade elements: HEPA filters and UV-C ultraviolet germicidal irradiation to filter and disinfect the air, plus EvaClean with PurTab to sanitize all surfaces throughout the yacht,” the company stated.

Electrostatic disinfectant sprayers implemented at TCMH

Texas County CARES Act funds allocated to TCMH have been instrumental to the hospital’s ability to battle COVID. Wes Murray, chief executive officer, reported that new equipment totaling approximately $25K, has arrived and is already in use.

The new equipment included fifteen handheld and four backpack PROTEXUS Electrostatic Spraying Systems. The magnetically charged droplets produced by the sprayers coat 360 degrees around all surfaces, everywhere they are used.

Dr. Stacey Rizza says that’s the way it should be. She’s an infectious disease doctor at the Mayo Clinic, which advised Hilton on its coronavirus cleaning and disinfection protocols.

"The first thing we are going is enhancing our cleaning procedures," said Jason Deitz, Groome Transportation's director of marketing.

Deitz explained that they purchased electrostatic sprayers like those used in hospitals and airplanes which has an EPA registered disinfectant. They ordered them back in April and just now have them in time for their reopening.
